Job Description
- This is an opportunity to put what you have studied and learned into practice
- You will become part of the Norwegian Sea Exploration Team working on both licensed area and open acreage in the Norwegian Sea.
- You will work on seismic interpretation of faults and horizons on a recently acquired 3D seismic dataset in Petrel, perform a relevant well tie, do prospect mapping and prospect evaluation leading to volumetric assessment.
- There will be close collaboration with mentor(s) including assistance on project tasks and frequent feedback sessions
- Main deliverables will include: Present a full prospect evaluation in a Cretaceous or Jurassic play.
What we expect
- Student currently on 4th or 5th year of master studies within the disciplines of sequence stratigraphy and seismic interpretation.
- You have experience working with seismic interpretation software (e.g. Petrel or equivalent)
- Experience in well tie and use of volumetric software are beneficial but not required
- Excellent written, verbal, and online communication skills
- Computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Fluency in English, oral and written
- Proactive, structured, self-motivated and solution oriented

Note – due to uncertainty regarding travel restrictions, applicants should already live or be able to accommodate themselves at the location of the work, whether that be Stavanger or Bergen, for the duration of the summer job.
