Tasks

As a geologist/senior geologist, you will plan, initiate, and supervise explorations activities and report the results to the management. You will supervise geologists, field technicians and contractors; and communicate with landowners, stake holders and authorities. You will use strategy and goals to guide the planning and budgeting of activities.  Supervision of drill programs, drill core logging and geological interpretation are an important part of the job. The position is permanent employment, full-time and stationed in Boliden, Sweden.

Education and Experience

We seek a geologist with a master’s degree and at least three years’ experience from exploration or mining, with a knowledge of 3D modelling using leapfrog or similar software. The work requires that you can write technical reports in English. Fluency in Swedish or a willingness to learn is desired. It is expected that you are a good communicator, result oriented, flexible and being able to work both on your own and in group. Driving licence B is required. To qualify as senior geologist you are expected to have at least five years’ of relevant experience.
