PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
The General Manager shall have responsibilities and obligations as follows:
- Responsible for further integrating AP working policies into AP Lu'an JV
- Responsible for the production, operation and management activities of AP Lu'an JVCo facility and report work to the Board per company AOA
- Organize and implement the Board resolutions, annual operating plan and investment scheme of JVCo;
- Formulate basic management system and internal organizational structure of AP Lu'an JVCo;
- Hire or dismiss managerial employees and other staff of AP Lu'an JVCo other than those to be hired or dismissed by the Board;
- Follow AP polices and implement in AP Lu'An JVCo for for employee salary, welfare, incentives and/or punishment and propose improvement plan to AP management
- Propose profit distribution plan and annual plan of fund resources and expenditures and submit such to the Board for approval;
- Identify opportunities for profitable growth in sales revenue and Continuous Improvement to drive productivity programs to achieve improving cost position; including instilling an operating rhythm to ensure accurate monthly reporting of results
- Drive AP Lu'an JVCo & Asset Management team to ensure targeted returns on assets are achieved;
- Initiate and facilitate the use of AP standards, management philosophies and best practices in EH&S, Ops, HR, Administration, Logistics, Sourcing, Purchasing, Procurement, Finance, Asset management, Sales, Maintenance and Engineering;
- Other duties and powers delegated by the articles and association or the Board of AP Lu'an JVCo.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Education
- Bachelor and/or graduate education (Engineering and technology, Business or Technical discipline preferred)..
- Minimum 10 years of senior/general management experience with an Industrial Company operating in China. Experience in multinational companies or first tier major state-owned companies is preferred.
2. Work Experience
- At least 20 years of diverse operational & line management experience;
- At least 15 years of experience in an industrial gases or other chemical process industry.
- Experiences in coal gasification plants is preferred.
3. Skills
- Strong Operational, Engineering & business skills;
- Diverse knowledge in finance, HR, Supply Chain, Sales, and commercial;
- Solid & sound administrative and negotiation skills;
- Strong management & communication skills, to include written, spoken as well as presentation abilities;
- Chinese (Mandarin) & English spoken.
