General Manager - Theatre Restaurant and Bar

• £38,000- £40,000 dependant on experience
• 40 hours per week 5 out of 7 - 7 day operation

We are BaxterStorey, an independent hospitality food service provider operating in the UK, Ireland and Europe specialising in restaurants, cafes, deli bars and exclusive dining rooms for clients and customers in business and industry.

One of the world’s great concert halls, specialising in chamber and instrumental music, early music and song, you will be responsible for the operation of the restaurant and bar in this iconic building. At full capacity the theatre has 552 customers who have the opportunity to enjoy lunch and dinner before the concert they are attending.

You will be responsible for a team of 12, restaurant A la carte service of approximately 60 covers and fully licensed bar for pre-concert and interval drinks along side a bar menu offer.

General Manager requirements:

• Ensure that the location achieves, as a minimum, the financial targets agreed with the client in line with the budget
• Monitor the work of all the staff and carry out appraisals, recognise training needs and potential as appropriate
• Hold team meetings on a regular basis to communicate targets, standards required and company and client information
• Work with your Operations Manager to prepare budgets; achieve and maintain the food cost in accordance with the budget
• Develop and evolve all client’s services at location, ensuring regular adjustments and improvements are both recommended and implemented
