This position will be responsible for the day-to-day functional support of unemployment claims through Equifax Casebuilder (unemployment Vendor), submitting garnishments to One Source Virtual (our garnishment vendor) and other duties as assigned.  This includes serving as the unemployment claims expert and providing statistical reports from Equifax Casebuilder as needed.  Additional duties include opening and distributing mail as well as documenting workflow/new procedures.

  

Major Accountabilities:

  • Complete unemployment claims daily.
  • Work with Human Resources to provide information and documents that support unemployment claims and post this information to the claim in Equifax Casebuilder.
  • Coordinate mass shut down and layoffs with Human Resources that will need to be submitted to Equifax via spreadsheet.
  • Assist HR and Equifax with unemployment hearings.
  • Inform employee when a fraudulent claim was filed in their name.
  • Scan unemployment claim forms received by mail to Equifax.
  • Scan all garnishments received by mail, scanned garnishments submitted via email by HR or Legal and submit to One Source Virtual daily for processing. 
  • Provide the Work Number web site and employer code to the company sending VOE via mail or through Shared Services. 
  • Complete verifications of employment that cannot be completed by the Work Number.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 2 year college degree (Business Studies preferred) or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years of Payroll, HR Systems administration and/or unemployment management experience.
  • Strong PC skills, including word processing and spreadsheet proficiency.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work well within a team.
  • Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion and good judgement.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to be flexible as responsibilities are aligned within the work team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong working knowledge of relevant laws, internal policies and procedures that may impact HR Information.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential to success in this role.
