Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Cliveden’s Italianate mansion, riverside setting and family-friendly events draw visitors all year round, making this property a busy location with a wide range of opportunities. There is always plenty to do at the 375-acre estate, with conservation of the South Terrace among recent projects. Cliveden team are close-knit with a wonderful sense of community. The location is quiet, so you'll need your own transport to get here.
There are a series of impressive formal gardens with far-reaching views, an abundance of bedding change throughout the seasons and an intimate Rose Garden for those wanting a little bit of peace and tranquility.

This role is varied and includes a range of practical horticultural tasks such as mulching, pruning, leaf clearing, weeding, propagation, hedge cutting and mowing our fine lawns. As a hands-on Gardener, you will assist in making sure that the gardens are maintained to a high standard. You will be involved with the planting and maintenance of our stunning bedding displays as well as the various trees, shrubs, and herbaceous plants throughout the garden.  In addition, you will take ownership of specific areas of the garden ensuring the highest standards are maintained.
You will also be supporting our garden volunteers as well as interacting with the public on a daily basis, answering questions, helping out with gardening workshops, leading garden tours and helping set up events.
