The core function of the role will be to interact with and provide a pro-active sales service to Islands Commercial Banking clients in relation to any activities in FX and payments across the Corporate sectors. By its nature, the role requires high intensity client coverage with the ultimate aim of building a sustainable relationship with clients. What you’ll be doing…
As FX Sales Specialist, you’ll be responsible for and also the primary point of contact for a portfolio of Islands Commercial Clients, ensuring a first class understanding of the full needs of the client.
Job Description
Responsibilities include:
Regular client contact and meetings, ensuring all meetings are well documented via call reports, outlining the nature of the client contact and next steps of the relationship development.
Working with RM’s/other relationship contact points to on-board new clients to the bank, ensure credit limits are in place, regulatory and legal obligations are fulfilled and relevant systems are updated.
Senior responsibilities: As a senior member of the team, responsible for setting an example to more junior members of the desk, driving initiatives and engaging with senior stakeholders in other areas of Commercial Banking.
Client Retention: Senior level client continuity to maintain relationship, regular market updates to avoid loss of business.
Efficient and accurate execution of deals (primarily FX, Commodities and deposits) that are consistent with bank's return requirements and credit limits.
Engagement with Product partners and Coverage to provide a full coordinated service our client base.
Managing client deposit balances in line with the LBCM's regulatory requirements and balance sheet objectives
Play a role in developing the wider offshore FX business, having management experience from previous roles would be preferable.
Operating in accordance with the offshore regulators Framework and to the highest level of conduct at all times
Responsibility for the implementation of Group Policy and standards on risks and controls within the islands Commercial business with a focus on impairments and Compliance
About you:
You’ll be a self-motivated individual with extensive experience in helping corporate clients identify, quantify and manage their risks to FX, and payments.
A client centric focused knowledge of the FX and payments products and services offered by LBCM.
You’ll possess a good network of Corporate clients that would enable us to build out our franchise with new clients as well as having a strong awareness and knowledge of the Sales Processes and Procedures associated with the products distributed by LBCM.
A general desire to help clients succeed, with a strong cultural bias Client First behaviours and actions.
Strong organisational, written and verbal communication skills.
Good understanding of FX products made available by other Banks, helping Lloyds develop additional product capability.
The ability to interpret and manipulate data, to identify and solve problems, and to think strategically.
The ability to influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels, and to show strong collaborative behaviour.
To be organised and process orientated, and to have the ability to prepare and update the necessary information needed to keep track of the client management process.
Demonstrate awareness and a proactive approach to the control and conduct agenda.
A good practical knowledge of Excel, Powerpoint and the banks systems.
Demonstrates passion, enthusiasm and a ‘can do’ attitude
Strong organisational, written and verbal communication skills.
