About the Job

The Finance Analyst role is responsible for the administrative control over fixed asset and capital expenditure accounting, including processing depreciation charges and asset disposals.  This includes maintaining accurate recording, classification, depreciation and reporting of assets. 

Responsibilities

• Maintain fixed asset register covering all company fixed assets by item within designated categories of land, buildings, leasehold improvements, equipment, furniture/fixtures and motor vehicles, as well as all additions, retirements and asset transfers
• Post depreciation calculations on a periodic basis, with a periodic review
• Capitalize all relevant assets in work in progress (WIP).
• Raise/close/cancel purchase orders as required.
• Responsible for timely & accurate coding of fixed asset invoices in web-based invoice approval system.
• Prepare & process journals as requested.
• Review and upload Equipment Warehouse fixed asset journal, including manual checking and analysis
• Conduct reconciliation of physical equipment stock take listings to fixed asset register for each restaurant/cost center (asset verification).
• Prepare periodic balance sheet reconciliations for assigned fixed assets and WIP General Ledger accounts.

Is This You?

• Degree in accounting, finance or related field, working towards accounting qualification, previous fixed assets experience highly regarded
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills are necessary.
• 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance
• Strong process-oriented mindset with high attention to detail and inquisitive mindset.
• Ability to manage deadlines effectively, prioritize work tasks, and handle a dynamic work environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

Work Environment

This role is based out of our Restaurant Support Centre (RSC) in Woking (around 25 minutes be train from London Waterloo) and a minimum of 1 day per week in the RSC is required, plus occasional other days for team or market meetings.
