Position Summary:

Responsible for National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) administration and practical exams on projects, for administering Bechtel’s Capabilities Assessment Program (CAP), and participating in the set up and maintenance of training facilities. Training and Testing NWSA TTT 1 & TTT 2 administration practical.  Provide training to craft employees and provide input to Workforce Development programs and procedures.  

Interfaces:

• Receives operational supervision from a Senior Industrial Relations Manager or an Industrial Relations Manager.

• Receives functional supervision from a Workforce Development Manager.

• Has regular contact with the craft workforce and/or public.

• Regularly interfaces with industrial relations and construction management.  

Responsibilities:

• Support of craft training and certification program on the project.

• Conduct NCCER/Project specific training (JLG, Rigging, etc.).

• Ensure that the training and assessment programs are consistent with NCCER guidelines and procedures.

• Schedule, coordinate and monitor classes, instructors, facilities, times, participants (level) and instructor evaluations.

• Provides training to all levels of helpers, journeymen, foreman and general foreman.

• Administers craft certification program, including NCCER skills assessments.

• Responsible for Craft Competency Compliance to ES&H core processes and SWPP’s..

• Evaluates craft training needs and makes recommendations to the Project.

• Traveling to multi-Project to perform Training and Testing. 

Qualifications and Skills

Basic Qualifications:

• The right to work and remain in the United States.

• Project experience a must. 

Minimum Qualifications:

• NCCER Coordinator.

• NCCER Signal Practical Examiner

• NCCER Rigging Practical Examiner.

• Good analytical and strategic planning skills: able to prioritize, balance short and long-term priorities.

• Good understanding of construction industry and Telecommunication.

• Effective Interpersonal Skills. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• RSPE Evaluator.

• NWSA TTT1 & TTT 2.

• Mater Trainer.

• Bechtel Trainer for JLG/Sky Climber/Forklift/Cranes.
