DPEP Experience Engineering & Enablement is seeking an Operations Research Engineering Intern to join our Advanced Analytics team. This team supports our Industrial Engineering and Park Operations teams by building tools and models to enhance our Guest and Cast experience and optimize our business.
Responsibilities
Apply operations research techniques (e.g. statistics, simulation, forecasting, optimization) to solve complex business problems.
Ensure appropriate methodology, measurements, tools and quantitative techniques are applied in projects
Perform data collection, data cleaning, data validation, and reporting tasks for business analytics systems
Lead and participate in team efforts and work on projects which require interfacing with various levels of cast and management
Basic Qualifications
These are the minimum qualifications you need to be considered for this position:
Prior related work experience, including co-op/intern programs with a focus on problem-solving
Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills
Demonstrated strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision making skills
Aptitude and willingness to learn new science, software applications, and tools
Proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
Proficient in predictive analytics using SAS, Python or equivalent.
Familiarity with SQL or Tableau
Required Education
These are the minimum qualifications you need to be considered for this position:
Currently enrolled in a four-year or graduate program in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Data Analytics, Industrial Engineering or other related program
Preferred Education
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

Internship Eligibility:
Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past six (6) months
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must possess unrestricted work authorization
Must provide full work availability for the duration of the term
Must have valid US driver's license
Must provide own transportation to/from work location
