The Role

The Managed Solutions Product Area is looking for a digitally-focused, customer-centric leader to head the Digital Separately Managed Account (SMA) offering and lead a team of product specialists focused on driving adoption of Fidelity’s digital SMA business. The role will support Fidelity’s new digital solution, Managed FidFolios, to continually improve the client experience while also leading new digital SMA growth initiatives that meet the growing needs within the marketplace.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

As a Product Team Leader you will:

  • Identify and drive initiatives aimed at growing digital SMA assets and accounts, helping the Managed Solutions Product Area achieve its sales, retention and customer penetration goals.
  • Collaborate with Digital Experience teams to provide business requirements and priorities based on client needs
  • Analyze and interpret results, pipeline metrics and client feedback on existing products & experiences, as a means to adjust
  • Work with marketing and client development teams to design digital communications, landing zones and marketing campaigns aimed at driving traffic and maximizing conversion of new accounts
  • Drive product development efforts, including business case development, business requirements, end-to-end customer experience, and go-to-market implementation.  
  • Identify areas to gain competitive advantage in the marketplace, and identify strategic work for the team to address the Managed Solutions Product Area’s points of competitive weakness, or enhance the existing strengths in the marketplace
  • Drive thought leadership and lead the extended digital team in solution brainstorming and help create an environment of continual innovation. Understanding of industry trends and dynamics.
  • Provide a voice at the table with senior leaders to discuss, debate, challenge, and influence key strategic decisions, including the positioning of all of Fidelity’s digital and wealth solutions
  • Work with our business partners to create optimal client experiences that address the needs and pain points of our Digital SMA clients
  • Serve as primary point of contact for the digital SMA business; you will advocate for — and incrementally improve — your digital offering and client experience

 Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead digital teams focused on driving adoption, delivering customer value and business results
  • 10+ years of financial services experience, preferably in digital product management, product development and/or product strategy roles; 15 years of overall work experience
  • Strong knowledge of equity investments, markets, instruments and solutions;
  • Experience with managed accounts and/or digital investment products is strongly preferred; MBA, CFA and/or CFP designation a plus
  • A test & learn mindset, with a penchant for action and experimentation
  • Product Management expertise – deep understanding all aspects of a given product line (sales trends, customer profile, competitive landscape, product economics, digital measurement, performance and risk characteristics for each product, legal/risk/compliance)
  • Cross-functional leadership and outstanding collaboration skills to navigate a matrixed environment with a range of priorities and perspectives across investment teams, channel leaders, legal, risk, and compliance
  • Influencing skills required along with confirmed ability to successfully engage with all levels of management across many areas.
  • Leadership and team management skills  
  • Consistent record of working with uncertainty in building and delivering a fast-growing business with multiple priorities, achieve breakthroughs, and consistently deliver business results
  • Knowledge of marketing channels and experience taking new products/solutions to market
  • Synthesizing complex data from multiple, disparate sources and present relevant insights and themes in a simple/clear way
  • FINRA Series 7 license required
  • FINRA Series 24 license preferred but may be obtained within one year of hire
