In order to maintain consistency in its finished product and fuel the innovation loop, the raw materials delivered to Royal Canin must reach best in class quality level.
Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Chemistry, Food Science, Engineering or similar technical field or in country equivalent.
Need to complete, during the first year, an accredited Lead Auditor training course (or actively progressing towards this certification if an SQA auditor).
The Supplier Quality Assurance Officer is involved in the supplier / raw material development process, driving the continuous improvement of current partners.
Accountable with the buyer that all suppliers respect Royal Canin quality expectations and values/fundamentals
Ability to build collaborative links internally with Research and Development, Quality and Food Safety, and the Supply department, and externally with our suppliers in order to deploy Material Quality Management, High Risk Chemical Ingredients, Mycotoxin and all Mars standards. ​
Audit, statistical data analysis, high knowledge of ISO norms (9001, 14001, 22000…) and Royal Canin 10 rules should be the foundation of the SQA daily job
By being in the field, the SQA Officer is able to share with the commercial community all the information related to business opportunities, quality management, and sustainability management of existing Royal Canin suppliers or potential prospects
You will be the primary interface between our supply chain and our suppliers regarding all quality matters.
Assure quality, food safety, and legality of raw material supplied to all manufacturing sites.
Requires full commitment and active participation among the SQA community.
Perform supplier site audits (risk assessments) and supplier evaluations.
Drive continuous improvement of quality of Royal Canin raw materials at supplier level in collaboration with Royal Canin Stakeholders.
Develop and execute strategies to improve quality across the sites.
Develop MRA's (Material Risk Assessment) for your portfolio.
Anticipate/Manage raw material related issues and crisis effectively to minimize business impact
Travel required 30% - 40%
