Summary:

The Sr Manager Marketing is responsible for driving end-to-end storytelling that impacts People Services culture and success at Bristol-Myers Squibb.

This position will partner with the PSLT to develop the function’s core narrative across all channels and create marketing content that adds value to the People Services’ BMS customer colleagues, as well as our own employee experience. This role requires a deep collaboration across People Services teams, business functions, and enabling partners to collect and integrate messaging and strategy into storytelling.  Daily responsibilities will include responsibility for collecting, translating, building and distributing information that informs and inspires employees and customers.

This position will support the establishment of a culture that can easily consume value-add and action-oriented information.

This individual will report directly to the Head of People Services Strategy and Business Partnership.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a catalyst for cultural change that introduces People Services to the BMS community and adjusts the visibility and understanding regarding the value-add purpose of the function to the BMS strategy
  • Design and execute communication processes to enable proactive dissemination of information to the BMS employee in scenarios requiring critical (same day) publishing, or where deliberate longer-term planning is possible
  • Ensure consistency of messaging that enables the dissemination of business customer information related to People Services service delivery
  • Support the creation of messaging related to operational service delivery with sensitivity to the employee experience
  • Capture, distil and communicate People Services team information and disseminate amongst employees in narrative form via appropriate channels
  • Coordinate the People Services communication calendar to ensure Demand is planned for and supported
  • Create storytelling guidelines, tools, and best practices for utilization by People Services peers
  • Partner with leadership team to empower employees through storytelling
  • Create social media ready content to increase People Services understanding across the business

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing, product marketing, PR, or advertising
  • Deep understanding of story structure, history of storytelling and use of storytelling across cultures
  • Ability to write persuasive copy
  • Video production experience
  • Familiarity with modern mediums & channels; Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook Blogging, Yammer, Reddit, Quora
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, manage multiple priorities and juggle schedules
  • Demonstrated production of narrative-based content
  • Ability to work and influence cross group (with stories)
  • Proven ability to convert value propositions into narratives
