The Role

You will guide a squad of software engineers in the development of our internal trading and portfolio management systems. As the product owner you are the end-to-end gatekeeper of the squad’s mission and strategy and prioritize the product feature backlog to deliver customer value. You will enable squad members to innovate and experiment while balancing the risk and reward of those efforts.

This position can be located in Boston, Merrimack, Raleigh, Smithfield or Westlake.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• Experience designing, developing and maintaining dynamic software products and solutions.

• Strong aptitude for investment finance, statistics, probabilistic risk and associated concepts and believe in the key role technology can play in helping asset managers outperform. CFA or commitment to study toward completing a CFA a plus.

• Have or are committed to developing a balance of technology and non-technology skills. Some software development or software product leadership experience preferred.

• Can grasp sophisticated product features and break them down, explain their value to developers and plot out achievable increments to get them done.

• Capable of leading, influencing, and motivating colleagues without formal authority, and have a track record of contributing to high-performing teams.

• Intellectually curious and model a culture of continuous learning, mentoring and coaching.

• Experience with alternative credit products, leveraged loans, direct lending, distressed debt or high yield investment markets a plus.
