Position Overview:

As part of the Application and Platform Products Center of Excellence, the Analyst will provide analysis, development, and environment administration of the MFGPRO platform for critical inventory, manufacturing, and financials related plant applications running 24x7 in complex distributed environments. Advise and provide Level 3 production support occasionally, when needed to support our managed service team.  Evaluate business requirements and functional design documents, and write and provide peer review of technical design, code and test cases. The candidate will gain expertise in several closely integrated systems and develop robust test plans in time.

In this role you will:

  • Develop Technical Design Documents using existing templates and methodology for robust software providing new or enhanced functions
  • Provide 3-point work estimates, primarily for projects using Eaton's PROLaunch system design lifecycle, and be accountable to delivering quality on the estimate
  • Plan and execute environmental support including patches, program temporary fixes and cumulative updates from the vendor
  • Work with developers to implement project deliverables using our change management system
  • Deliver robust applications in conjunction with a variety of application modules, unit test, and actively participate in integration and user acceptance testing
  • Take the lead in managing change using ITIL to plan implementation, obtain Change Advisory Board approval, and implement
  • Actively participate and periodically lead Change Advisory Board reviews
  • Provide peer review and advice to Functional and Technical Design Documents and peer code reviews
  • Learn a complex architecture and work with diverse and distributed teams, many offshore to deliver projects and production support

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 3 years’ IT or software developer experience
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered.  Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of ITIL/ITSM processes (problem, incident, request, change and release management). This position will build capabilities by following key work processes and standards
  • Webservices and Integration
  • Change management software is a plus
  • ERP implementation and upgrade Projects or other ERPs (SAP, Oracle)
  • Experience supporting Other Major ERP technologies (Preferred: S/4 HANA)

Position Criteria

  • Collaborative orientation. The ability to succeed in a highly team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment with many competing priorities
  • Experience developing applications in MFGPRO involving order management, product information, bill of material, MRP, shipping and interfaces to invoicing and supplier management systems
  • Possess a working knowledge of MFGPRO (QAD)
  • Strong skills in Openedge RDBMS and 4GL, SQL, and relational database management.
  • Functional knowledge in discrete manufacturing in one or more of the following modules: SCM, MRP, Finance, Distribution, Manufacturing, Workorder, Purchasing
  • Understand and ensure compliance regarding Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and change management
  • Experience with Regulated Industry - FAA (Preferred Aerospace Industry Experience) and ITAR Compliance
  • Ability to deliver robust applications able to withstand rigorous testing and complex environments with multiple interfaces, often running on multiple plant environments, each with unique processes and products
  • Ability to work with very diverse global colleagues as peers and business clients
  • Aptitude to learn new technologies
