Role Profile
As a Site engineer, you will serve as the manufacturing Management of Change (MOC) coordinator reviewing all changes to ensure they meet industry safety and environmental requirements. You will also develop leadership skills by planning, developing and executing strategic safety-related continuous improvement efforts across the manufacturing areas.
Responsibilities
- Drive corporate and regulatory environmental, safety, and health compliances through Eastman Zero Incident Mindset
- Serve as the manufacturing Management of Change (MOC) coordinator reviewing all changes to ensure they meet industry safety and environmental requirements.
- Lead significant incident investigations to determine root cause and drive completion of corrective actions
- Establish a deep understanding of process and environmental safety providing technical support to air quality regulation analyses.
- Provide program management to the site’s combustible dust, safety instrumented systems, and facility siting programs
- Improve process safety performance and reduce risk by supporting Process Hazard Analyses and Layer of Protection Analyses
- Plan, develop and execute strategic safety-related continuous improvement efforts across the manufacturing areas
- Develop and maintain list of HSES related capital projects and support scope development and regulatory analyses
- Support manufacturing capital projects to identify and resolve regulatory issues, analyze process and property hazards, and establish protective measures to mitigate risks to a tolerable level.
- Support HSES related training as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering required
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience preferred
- Experience leading industrial root cause investigations is preferred
- Experience with safety instrumented systems is preferred
- Experience with Process Hazard Analyses and Layer of Protection Analyses is preferred
- Experience completing Engineering calculations related to process and environmental safety
- Candidate must possess demonstrated competencies in the areas of technical/process skills, leadership and management abilities, and written/oral/interpersonal communications.
- High degree of initiative and ability to plan, prioritize, and work with minimal supervision.
