Job Purpose and Impact
The Retail Field Representative will participate in face-to- face and remote selling to our new and existing ag retail customers, selling directly or indirectly through various sales channels. We seek a results-oriented sales professional who can assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products, services, and solutions.
Key Accountabilities
- This role will drive sales by supporting the In-Store Experience, Grand Opening Events, Joint Sponsorship Opportunities, Promotions, while delivering on key sales opportunities in their assigned territory.
- Help identify and contact prospective customers, building relationships to generate future sales and repeat business.
- With basic knowledge of products, their characteristics and market, sell and stimulate demand for a series of products.
- Plan daily activities, including customer visits and quantitative and qualitative objectives to achieve.
- Follow market and competition evolution, passing information to senior staff.
- Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Ability to travel overnight and minimum of 60% of the time
- Schedule Flexibility (occasional weekends and overnight shifts)
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of animal nutrition industry
- Excellent communication skills (written, oral and listening)
- Proficiency in MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel, PPT, Word)
- Experience using Salesforce.com
- Selling experience in the retail channel
