The Resource Mobilization Associate will bring strong proposal development and coordination skills to support the implementation of PIH Liberia’s robust fundraising strategy. Experienced in working within tight timelines, s/he will support the translation of promising programs into technical proposals that result in funding for innovation and scale-up. S/he will collaborate across organizational teams to strengthen internal capacity and systems for sustaining, expanding, and diversifying PIH Liberia’s funding portfolio.

Specific Responsibilities:

Support coordination, material development, and documentation for workshops with leadership and project teams to identify innovative approaches for funding opportunities, review identified calls for funding, and plan for proposal development. Create and manage tools for tracking progress toward funding deadlines and share regular updates with team members throughout the proposal development process. Complete regular prospect research and maintain an updated roster of potential funding opportunities for vetting and analysis by the Policy & Partnership Department and wider project teams. Conduct research to inform analyses for specific bids and partnership recommendations to support vetting processes and proposal development. Regularly update data trackers to monitor internal and external funding trends and track progress toward departmental indicators, including proposal success rate and portfolio diversity. Complete internal vetting matrixes and other related documentation for review by both in country and with the cross-site team. Develop and maintain an updated mapping of potential in-country donors and partners to guide outreach and engagement strategies. Support proposal development by drafting and reviewing specific sections, as required. Develop and maintain strong collaboration with program staff and leadership to understand ongoing and future funding priorities and needs in line with PIH’s strategic planning. Support meeting coordination for cultivating and sustaining proactive relationships with potential donors and partners for funding consortia. Support other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Master’s Degree strongly preferred in public health or related fields At least three years of experience implementing resource mobilization strategies and developing funding proposals Ability to be flexible and effective in the face of unexpected challenges Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to adapt written communication styles to a range of donor and partner audiences Exemplary interpersonal communication skills required to interact effectively with senior leadership, partners, and clinicians on sensitive political and confidential issues. Ability to collaborate effectively with culturally diverse staff across departments and country. Passion for social justice and the ability to function as both a teacher/learner Experience living and working in resource-limited environments is strongly preferred.
