Role Profile
The Integrated Planning Lead oversees the supply chain planning, inventory management, and product support services processes. They collaborate with different team members in Operations, Engineering, Sales, Supply Chain, and Procurement to ensure that production is completed as efficiently as possible. They lead a small team of Planners to develop systems to improve site efficiency utilizing all available resources to plan production and work schedules in line with targets and meeting customer requirements. Leads a small team of Planners on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
Leadership
- Leadership responsibility for the IPS and DRP teams and activities in North America
- Leading, mentoring, and coaching direct reports and setting clear guidelines; promoting a culture of external focus and internal value creation. Promoting teamwork.
Supply Chain Operations
- Scheduling importation of Saflex products for North America customer requirements.
- Managing inventory planning for product portfolio and executing corrective actions to the business plan inventory targets.
- Manage warehouse replenishment process (DRP).
- Communicate to Customer Service Representatives and Planners the status and availability of all material requests.
- Facilitating on behalf of the Regional Supply Chain Manager ITP Integrated Tactical Planning routine for North America
- Providing input to regional 3rd party service provider contracts in close cooperation with Logistics and Procurement ensuring business requirements are met.
- Working closely with Commercial, Business, Logistics, Pricing and Procurement teams and participating in periodic meetings.
- Maintaining close working links with Manufacturing.
- Supporting and advising the Regional Commercial/Sales organizations to meet and exceed the business segment objectives.
- Participating in the regional & global business aligned Supply and Consensus meetings in close cooperation with the Supply Managers. Serving as a link to regional Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) Teams as applicable.
- Utilizing SAP system to maintain all planning parameters, identify and resolve conflicts with material availability, capacity availability and order promise data integrity.
- Interfacing with all suppliers and business leaders for corrective actions on day-to-day issues, i.e., on-time delivery, quality issues, transportation issues.
Culture and compliance
- Displaying role model safety behavior and complying with Eastman’s safety and wellness musts; ensuring required HSES trainings are complete.
- Staying informed on Business and Sales strategies; cooperating with Commercial and Business Managers ensuring business & customer needs are met.
- Ensuring full compliance with Corporate Standard Operating Procedures and all Sarbanes Oxley required processes.
Supply chain performance and continuous improvement
- Defining and actively leading improvement projects resulting in improved service & cost position, optimal inventory, and efficient distribution
- Utilizing corporate software programs and computer systems to monitor and analyze cost, forecast, production, demand, supply, and other related data.
- Designing, generating, maintaining, and monitoring monthly Key Performance Indicators.
- Working closely with the Center of Excellence to Analyze, Sustain and Improve processes ensuring compliance of work instructions pertaining to local laws and regulations to facilitate effective and efficient use of planning tools.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of Supply Chain or Planning experience.
- Strong project and people management skills and experience.
- Proven experience with production and capacity planning and inventory management.
- Track record in improving processes and Supply Chain tools.
- Stakeholder management in a matrix-driven structure.
- Growth potential to take on more senior roles within the organization.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research or Supply Chain Management.
- APICS, CPIM or CIRM certifications preferred.
- Knowledge of MRP II principles and concepts and supply chain processes.
- High degree of initiative, ability to achieve results individually and in a team environment, commitment to task and detail orientation, ability to multi-task in a dynamic business environment.
- Excellent oral, written and computer skills, including strong proficiency in Excel required.
