Purpose of this Role
The Q&FS technologist is responsible for ensuring all relevant Q&FS standards are implemented and continuously improved to assure quality and food safety at the local site, protecting the consumer and our brands.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree Food Science, Engineering, Chemistry or equivalent
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP's), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point Systems (HACCP), ISO, Regulatory Guidelines, Sensory, and/or Microbiology
- Ability and aptitude to work in an R&D, Manufacturing, and/or Distribution environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a Food Manufacturing environment working in Quality, Food Safety, Engineering and/or Product/Process development
- Working knowledge of petfood processing and packaging
- Experience with incident management and standards implementation and completing internal and external audit
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Assisting to develop and implement technical and procedural control measures in relation to the Mars Global Quality Standards.
- Be the Onsite support for any Product Related Incidents.
- Developing and updating all paperwork/systems to be complaint to global standards.
- Support Operations with Incident Management, Troubleshooting and conduct Food Safety risk assessments as part of Hold and Release.
- Assisting the Q&FS team during new product launches and significant process and recipe changes whilst performing conformance checks.
- Drive continuous improvement and execute quality projects in close collaboration with other teams.
