The responsibilities of the Production Operator include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Receives, unloads and forwards products, supplies, raw materials and packaging materials according to supervisor’s direction.
• Organize and prepare product for shipping/receiving.
• Pack, load and/or unloads product shipping/receiving.
• Interpret orders and coordinate production needs for clean-room and warehouse operators.
• Set up production machines to order.
• Perform/collaborate on in-process troubleshooting.
• Measure, sample and visually inspect product, as required.
• Monitors raw material inventories.
• Follows and reviews all safety rules, procedures, and practices for safety of other operators, maintenance personnel, and contractors.
• Completes required inspections of safety systems.
• Attends required training sessions.
• Performs other work assigned by supervisor.
• High school degree required.
• Either college level technical course work in math/chemistry/engineering or mechanical/electrical trade school would be a plus but is not required.
• A strong commitment to working safely and to the safety of others.
• Ability to perform high quality, cost effective work in order to meet customer expectations.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
• Flexibility in approach to tasks and openness to change.
• High degree of initiative.
• Ability to contribute individually and in a team environment
