Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
The Mold Room Lead will be the main point of contact for the Mold Room Operators. This role will operate production equipment according to instructions to ensure proper product output and quality standards while working closely with management.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:- Assign daily job requirements to Mold room Operators. This includes being the main point of contact for questions.
- Operate and monitor automatic and semi-automatic machine and alert appropriate parties if defect is found; Respond to machine stoppages and upsets as quickly as possible. Coordinate support resources as needed.
- Remove finished goods from machine and inspect for quality. Count and pack parts into carton per quality standards; Discard parts that have been produced by a defective machine.
- Review completed paperwork as necessary including packaging lists, shipping or product labels, and number validation.
- Daily communication to various departments and all levels of management through email, telephone, face-to-face is necessary in order to optimize the efficiency of our operation.
- Extensive knowledge of all department related equipment in order to properly analyze and assist with resolving all types of situations that arise.
- Train new and existing employees on how to operate and run work cells.
- Assists in root cause analysis on machine issues and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Experience with startup and shut down of injection molding machines, blow molding machines, and support automation. Understand complex functions of the injection molding process as specified by work order or setup parameter sheet and meeting all requirements such as correct sequence, proper setup, shutdown, mold storage, and lockout-tag out procedures.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Relevant Work Experience
1 year manufacturing experience required; 2 year of manufacturing experience preferred.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to work independently and with others in order to accomplish team objectives
- Ability to move product, supplies, and boxes that vary from 5 to 25 pounds. Standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, visual acuity-near and far, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision.
