We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join the Global Money team as a Product Manager. This team forms part of the Payment and FX Value Stream. HSBC Global Money is a new global mobile first proposition focused on our international customers, their financial and lifestyle needs. The vision is to create a true global transactional account which helps our customers to manage their financial life seamlessly across borders.
Global Money is delivered in multiple markets through a global cross functional team located in various geographies reflecting well the global nature our product and customers. The role holder will be a critical member to define and deliver a world class customer experience for Global Money customers.
In this role, you will:
- Drive the product attractiveness and outcomes of product areas.
- Manage these product areas holistically (design through to BAU) including commercials.
- Build in depth customer insights and translate these into a well-defined and executed priority list
- Focus on the operational elements of the product, manage settlement, reconciliation and all treasury related activities.
- Manage Global Money capabilities and/or Global Money markets end to end, starting from customer led design to day-to-day operations.
- Lead the global commercialisation success of Global Money including definition and execution of effective go to market strategies and ongoing customer engagements.
- Execute timely and measurable marketing initiatives for the proposition.
- Define relevant sub-segments of Global Money users and develop relevant and compelling communication and engagements.
- Work closely with Product teams, Finance, Analytics and Markets to establish best in class commercial value models.
Requirements
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Strong knowledge of product management – functionally, operationally and financially – in particular in a digital/mobile context.
- Domaine expertise in following areas preferred: (i) payments (cross border), (ii) debit card, (iii) cross border account opening, (iv) Settlement and Reconciliation, (v) transactional banking products and (vi) overall propositions and products at customers with international banking needs.
- Delivery Excellence – the ability to mobilise and successfully manage end to end execution to a high standard across all facets of product management activities to ensure benefits are realized.
- Design Led Thinking – an awareness of end-to-end customer focused solution design and architecture alignment / problem solving
- Working knowledge of target setting and defining KPIs
- Very strong knowledge of the relevant external environment – regulatory, political, competitors, innovation etc.
- Proven experience in senior stakeholder management in a complex organization structure
