Job Purpose and Impact

The Organizational Development Consultant will perform all aspects of organizational development (OD) as one of 15-20 OD consultants on the North America Organizational Development (NA OD) team.  In this role, you will work alongside other OD consultants on global engagement teams supporting large-scale transformation efforts as well as work independently on targeted initiatives across Cargill.  Your organizational development work will span organization design, change management, and team effectiveness with ties to mergers and acquisitions, communications, talent management, learning and development, employee relations, and business HR. 

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and execute change management workstreams including assessment, design, deployment, and management of robust change management roadmaps.

  • Support projects to implement new business operating models, increase the effectiveness of functions, and integrate acquisitions by leveraging Cargill’s design principles, frameworks, and methods for organizational structure, change management, mergers and acquisitions, and team effectiveness.

  • Lead targeted team effectiveness initiatives with senior leaders and their teams across Cargill’s businesses and functions.

  • Diagnose, design, and deliver organizational development solutions that help the company create a talent based competitive advantage.

  • Champion a strong continuous improvement culture to ensure deployment of scalable, simple, and effective processes.

  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • Executive presence and ability to communicate to all levels in the organization

  • Experience working on project based, client service consulting

  • Minimum of 4 years of related work experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6 years change management work experience

  • Demonstrated experience providing OD support to a global transformation program(s)

  • Certification in change management, team effectiveness, or organization design
