Mechanical Maintenance Planner

Responsibilities

•    Drive the Zero Incident Mindset culture among Central Maintenance Team
•    Prepare/organize job plans, MOC packages and task sheets for Team Manager/Scheduler to give to crafts persons as jobs are assigned.
•    Group work orders to make the execution steps more efficient
•    Specify and request parts and materials in advance of need and stage accordingly
•    Perform field walk downs with the appropriate resources to define work scope and requirements
•    Work within SAP to update job backlog status add materials when needed
•    Utilize backlog analytic tools to monitor P&S effectiveness
•    Work closely with operations and third party personnel to understand job requirements and priorities
•    Develop, maintain and update maintenance job plan packets within SAP and/or the job plan library
•    Develop PM/PD’s using SAP or other software
•    Evaluate jobs completed/in progress and compare to job plan
•    Initiate “Management of Change” process as needed
•    Build in environmental, safety and health steps in job plans
•    Create spare parts and equipment ID number lists, including changes
•    Maintain ISO critical and Regulatory test equipment and records
•    Determine and reserve resources (people, equipment, specialty tools) needed for the job
•    Prepare SOR documents for jobs expected to be capital or any job that may exceed $40K
•    Identify cost and efficiency improvement opportunities
•    Confirm orders when needed
•    Work with outside contractors as needed
•    Perform  backup duties for Team Manager as needed
•    Support maintenance on off-shifts as part of a rotating on-call list 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a maintenance role
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and Outlook.  SAP proficiency required.
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment drawings.
  • Knowledge of operations/equipment in assigned area is preferred
  • Knowledge of the  “Management of Change”, Purchasing and Stores processes process and relevant HSES requirements
  • Strong planning, organization, facilitation, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to manage multiple tasks at a time
  • Analytical skills and a desire to provide “attention to detail”
  • Ability to estimate work loads
