Duties

  • Able to focus on the efficient operation of a safe workplace at all levels of the organization
  • Adheres to all safety, GMP & PPE requirements.
  • Able to operate and train personnel on all filling and packaging equipment
  • Possess a thorough understanding of KBI’s while communicating company goals.
  • Maintains a solid understanding of QA statistical analysis with proper reaction to results.
  • Ability to lead employees, creating a learning culture designed to achieve sustainable results.
  • Ability to work with different departments and functions to attain common goals.
  • Able to operate computer software in a Windows based environment.
  • Possess troubleshooting abilities and the ability to transfer that knowledge to other personnel.
  • Able to lead by example as well as enforce all company policies including safety, performance deficiency, dress code, PPE, GMP’s, and rules of conduct.
  • Able to complete all production related forms and reports consistently, completely and accurately, in a timely manner.
  • Train, maintain, enforce and continually promote operations in a ISO environment.
  • Support, follow, revise, and train according to approved SOP’s, Work Instructions, Work Aids, forms, etc… under ISO standards.
  • Maintain standards and improve upon waste, scrap, line efficiencies, cost per case, labor content and all other KBI related areas
  • Understand the recycling program and lead by example to promote the proper execution of the program at all times.
  • Work with poor performing employees to improve their skills.  Use mechanic as a resource or schedule training as needed.
  • Demonstrate pro-active problem solving versus re-active.  Solve problems on your line and in the plant before they become more costly.
  • Work to eliminate causes of filler downtime first, then focus on secondary causes of downtime which cause filler slow speed conditions.
  • Ensure all production activities are completed in a hygienic, food safe manner and atmosphere.

 

Education/Experience:

  • College, 2 years preferred
  • Train the Trainer
  • Safety 
  • GMP
