WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
At Nike our supply chain and our people are our competitive advantage in how we continuously elevate the Nike experience for our consumers.
As we implement our Digital First Supply Chain Strategy within Operations, we seek a Lean Supply Chain Manager that will help us design and implement our UK Distribution Centre (DC) planned to launch in 2025!
As our UK Lean Supply Chain Manager, you’ll work alongside process and construction teammates to design and build a brand-new Distribution Centre befitting of one of the most iconic and innovative global brands. Towards the launch of the DC, you will start working closely together with the DC Operations teams to prepare, launch and stabilize the DC processes and way or working. In this exciting role, you will be able to have impact by helping teams achieve their strategic ambitions and building a culture that keeps inspiring them to always improve. Whilst helping others grow, this is also an excellent opportunity for you to take your own leadership and coaching skills to the next level. Your leader and teammates will guide you in this journey.
The role will be based in the UK, with occasional travel required to our main European Logistics Campus in Belgium (particularly during the first 3 months for onboarding purposes). The role will then require 3 days a week presence on site in the Midlands once construction commences in Summer 2023. Until such time flexible working is fine as the preparatory work takes place.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
You will be deployed during the entire project process, from conceptual design all the way through to completion, launch and stabilization of the DC. In partnership with your teammates, you help facilitate and end-to-end process design for the DC in line with our design principles. Towards the launch of the DC, you will then play an active role in setting up the way of working and will help foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning in the path of the day-to-day work. You’ll train, facilitate, coach and mentor teams and individuals in our design approach and way of working (tools, methodologies and mindset).
WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?
During the entire project process, you’ll work with the UK DC project team. Towards the launch of the DC, you will gradually shift your focus and start working closely together with the DC Operations team in the UK. You’ll report into the wider Nike Logistics Lean System team (NLS) within our European Logistics Campus in Belgium. With this team you maintain strong connections, leverage and share best practice.
WHAT YOU BRING:

• You apply a structured and disciplined way of working and hold teams and individuals accountable to achieve their results.
• You have experience in facilitating training and guiding Transition Management processes.
• You demonstrate the ability to successfully influence others and build strong partnerships with your stakeholders.
• You have a passion for developing others. You ask critical questions, listen actively, and help others to become their best self.
• You are an experienced trainer, coach, and facilitator.
• Experience in facilitating and participating in the design of Distribution processes and infrastructure is a plus.
• You think conceptually and can put challenges in a broader end-to-end perspective.
• You have proven experience in lean and/or agile practices or you have been actively exposed to them.
• Experience with systemic lean approaches (TPS, etc.) and relevant lean certification is also a plus.
