We are currently recruiting for a Head of PMO to be a part of our phenomenal team, to oversee the reporting, insight, and central planning capability across the UK Life (UKL) portfolio. This role could be ideal for you, if you’ve led a portfolio office, enjoy working with/understand data and are able to provide insight that could highlight trends and enable effective decision making then we would love to hear from you.
A bit about the job:
As the Head of PMO, you will develop a continuous improvement culture, by leading the portfolio office, to ensure that our leadership teams are provided with appropriate information and insight You will also play a key role in supporting the ongoing shaping, planning and sequencing of the UKL portfolio, typically working over a period of 12-24 months.
You will manage and lead the UKL portfolio office team, ensure that the quality of team outputs, which will include, Executive Level and Board reporting plus ad-hoc requests, are a high standard. You will develop and maintain a leading insight, reporting and portfolio planning capability, along with provision of input, support and challenge to wider stakeholders in the project development phase including business case development, sequencing, planning and options assessments.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
Experience in developing, embedding and leading large scale change portfolio offices, along with designing and running the (annual) Change Prioritisation process
A passion for portfolio analysis with a relentless pursuit of the “so what?â€. Forward looking, identifying trends and anticipating issues before they arise
A storytelling flair for presenting portfolio data in an insightful, accessible and impactful way that enables effective decision making
A proven track record in running and participating in Executive level Change Committees
A pragmatic and collaborative change leader, adept in influencing, who will hold others to account and lead by example: coaching and demonstrating what good Portfolio mgmt. looks like
What you’ll get for this role:
Salary between £120,000 - £140,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
Generous pension (starting level Aviva contributes 8% when you contribute 2%)
Eligibility for annual performance bonus of between 0% - 50%
