Job Purpose and Impact
The Container International Transportation & Carrier Support Lead will perform complex activities that ensure efficient transportation of materials and products from origin to destination within North America. We seek a motivated professional who will participate in Identifying and selecting most appropriate and cost-effective transportation.
Key Accountabilities
- Apply a meaningful comprehension of transportation and logistics practices and procedures to assist in the negotiation of freight prices and contract terms for customers.
- Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships as it relates to delivery of Cargill containerized cargo shipments and support the global container mode strategy.
- Support the updating of transportation websites and databases for contracts, freight rates and estimates, insurance, and customer information.
- Independently analyze current transportation operations practices to resolve process and cost improvement opportunities.
- Control and track the transport of critical materials.
- Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of four years of related work experience in supply chain or transportation & logistics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- International logistics or ocean freight experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding and experience with international shipping container industry
- Previous work experience in transportation & logistics for a global company
- Contracting management experience working with external vendors
