Relocation to the Reston, Virginia area is required.
Responsibilities:
- Obtains required construction schedule information from all disciplines and functions.
- Coordinates with all departments to ensure understanding of construction schedule needs.
- Responsible for total integration of construction schedule activities.
- Identifies restraints and their effect on the construction schedule.
- Identifies construction schedule considerations and challenges resulting from inter-discipline or functional restraints and interfaces.
- Monitors and reports critical path and construction schedule performance.
- Conducts construction schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine criticality of schedule activities.
- Recommends alternatives for schedule improvement to project team for discussion and/or decision.
- Responsible for leading, when requested, the development and review of schedule recovery plans, including the evaluation of additional resources/costs required to affect such plans.
Basic Qualifications:
- Level 1: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and at least 6 years of professional experience, or in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 12 years of professional experience.
- Level 2: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and at least 9 years of professional experience, or in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 15 years of professional experience.
- This role requires a facility-specific clearance that requires U.S. Citizenship to obtain.
- Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check which includes verification of employment and education.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 scheduling software.
- Advanced level of proficiency in using Project Controls software applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing scheduling functions which include planning, critical path analysis, and schedule performance measurement.
- Experience working with construction to determine “required on site (ROS)†dates and interacting with procurement to determine lead times, especially long lead items, and also interacting with engineering to determine prioritization and sequencing of “issue for construction†data/docs, i.e., experience with advanced work package (AWP) planning.
- Experience developing typical analyses/curves to compliment the construction schedule, including bulks sustainability rate curves, bulks family of curves, engineering release-fabricate-receive-install curves, etc.
- Must demonstrate good interpersonal teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to work with people of varied backgrounds and objectives.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Construction experience on large, complex Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) jobs.
- Demonstrated skill in identifying and analyzing issues and recommending corrective actions.
- Flexibility to respond to urgent proposal and project requests and changing priorities.
- Experience with data integration from multiple sources, e.g., bringing data from P6 together with data from Teamworks, etc. and creating PowerBI dashboards for on-demand analysis by the project team.
- Familiar with Construction tools such as TeamWorks, etc.
