  • Proposing options based upon analyses to improve commercial products and services
  • Representing Storengy UK at organized Stakeholders Workshops (National Grid, Ofgem, BEIS or industry groups)
  • Exporting data for back office and finance processes, providing assistance to other teams by explaining industry specific subjects
  • Assisting in the monitoring of commercial aspects of the organisation such as available capacities for customers, contracted levels of capacities and commercial risks

The role of Commercial and Regulatory Analyst involves the analysis of both written and numerical data and the ability to condense and communicate the results, as such we believe you will need the following skills:

  • Ability to summarise effectively from multiple sources
  • Ability to work proactively with others
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent Excel, Excel query and PowerPoint skills

It would be desirable but not essential for you to have any of the following knowledge or experience:

  • Experience in the International Energy Industry in either technical, commercial, shipping operations or economics roles
  • Degree in Economics or similar discipline
  • General understanding of the purpose and operation of GB and EU commercial and regulatory energy frameworks

We can offer you a fixed term, 2 year contract, with a salary ranging from £23k to £28k p.a.

Storengy UK strongly believe that the success of our business is down to our employees, whatever your background and individual skills, each and every member of our team plays a key role in this success.

Staff can take advantage of the Mobility scheme within parent company ENGIE to further their careers within other group companies, nationally and internationally. We are also a hybrid working site.

Furthermore, learning and development is key to our businesses' success, encouraging staff growth and a positive workplace culture. Training, mentoring and shadowing are a few of the opportunities we offer to support our staff’s development.

The Health & Wellbeing of our employees is of upmost importance to us, we encourage sports participation and offer active sports membership. We hold different fitness and wellbeing events through the year and are ideally located in the heart of the Cheshire countryside for outdoor exercising. Each member of staff is encouraged to use their paid volunteering day to assist with a local community project of their choice.

Storengy UK are committed to delivering sustainable, low carbon energy solutions and projects to support the United Kingdom’s ambition to achieve net zero by 2050. Our existing natural gas storage plant provides flexibility and support to the natural gas and power networks in the UK. We aim to make this site in Cheshire Net Zero by 2025 utilising our newly constructed onsite solar farm and other net zero projects.

In addition to our existing business, we have challenged ourselves to provide 1TWh per year of biomethane onto the gas grid in the UK by 2030, this will assist in decarbonising UK homes and industry and further support the UK’s push to Net Zero.

Our Vanguard project demonstrated the viability of Green Hydrogen production for transport, and we believe hydrogen will be a major part of our future in further projects.
