Work you’ll do
- Work as an advisor on business strategies in Military Health System (MHS) research and development (R&D).
- Drive growth and new sales channels through relationship management and business development.
- Manage MHS programs across R&D support Services, as well as Translational Support Services Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams that include researchers, laboratory and product managers, program analysts, and logisticians to support activities to guide clients and Deloitte business development activities.

Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree required
- 10+ years of experience working within the DoD medical research and development (R&D) enterprises, including research organizations, such as DHA R&E, USAMRDC, USAMMDA, USAMRIID, NMRC, Centers of Excellence and research support services
- Experience working with the application of related research and development (R&D) solutions including at MTFs or deployed settings, institutional review boards (IRBs), offices of quality management, and offices of research and technology applications
- Experience planning and managing a research portfolio either within or outside the DOD
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role
- Travel up to 25%
Preferred:
- 7+ years of experience in business development in the research and development (R&D) space with familiarity with research, development, test and evaluation (RDT&E) funding
- 7+ years of experience with implementation of science in an applied DoD or VA health setting aimed at successful implementation of clinical research
- Knowledge of DoD acquisition in a program functional area, including scheduling, budgeting, policy, data gathering, analysis, and government contracts
- Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills specifically with key leaders in Military Health research and development (R&D) organizations and agencies
- Understands funding streams (e.g. Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs) for R&D in the Federal space (MHS experience/understanding preferred)
- Secret clearance
- Doctorate degree
- Certifications in PMP, Six Sigma, Acquisition, Certified IRB Professional, or Clinical Research Coordinator
