Chartered Surveyor – Salary of up to £60,000

Location: Home based ( Ideally London or Midlands based)

Contract: 12 Months

A bit about the job:

• To provide surveying expertise to our commercial Field team and to act as both a referral point and manage large and complex claims.

•  To provide oversight support of current supplier services. 

• Supporting the development of technical standards & professional skills required to deliver excellence across buildings claims and safeguarding customer experience, indemnity spend and operational efficiency through a robust governance framework.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• Good knowledge of the insurance industry related to commercial property

• Strong understanding of insurance principles, coverage issues and applying the application of Aviva’s claims Philosophies & Standards.

• Experience in handling complex commercial property claims

• Manage a caseload of major, complex and historical building cases up to £1m

• Politically agile, skilled communicator/conflict manager, flexible in style/responsive to situations, able challenge and positively influence others at all levels, internally and externally.

• Good project management and negotiation skills

• Salary of up to £60,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
