As a As a Director of Software Engineering, Chapter Leader/Player Coach, you will lead a team of passionate engineers building and operating our new Identity and Access Platform. You will blend engineering knowledge and experience with a passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing associates who deliver scalable and high performing solutions with a cloud-first mindset. The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Strong engineering background with a proven track record of delivering to cloud at scale
Experience managing systems using infrastructure as code tools (IAM, ARM, Terraform, Chef)
Hands-on Kubernetes skills and knowledge.
Proven experience in implementing advanced observability practices and techniques at scale using one or more observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, OpenTelemetry, Datadog, etc.)
Experienced in Instrumentation with systems skills on building and operating, monitoring, logging, alerting services of distributed systems at scale
Proven experience in maintaining scalability and resiliency of complex environment.
Extensive experience with DevOps CI/CD practices and technologies.
Strong understanding of the developer lifecycle related to cloud.
Experience with modern agile engineering approaches and focus on operational excellence.
Data-driven approach to decision making, in day-to-day leadership and strategic trade-off analyses
Committed people leader capable of developing others within your knowledge area to accelerate and achieve increased skill proficiency.
Ability to build and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships and relationships at all levels of the organization.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Exceptional mentoring and coaching skills and proven experience developing cloud talent.
