Responsible for assisting with the direction and administration of branch sales and operations, as well as takes a larger management role at the branch of assignment than a BSM II or III, in order to create regional capacity for the VP’s. Ensures that established policies and procedures are followed. Oversees a full range of products and services to Members and prospective Members. Alongside Regional VP, responsible for attainment of production goals and operating budget, as well as trains, directs, and assists in supervising branch staff. Fosters a consistent commitment to teamwork both within the team and within the organization. Ensures that Members are promptly and professionally served. Performs various branch functions as required.
Assumes responsibility for assisting in the supervision of branch operations and achievement of branch sales targets.
•     Ensures that operations are conducted in accordance with established Credit Union policies, legal and regulatory requirements, and audit standards. Provides suggestions for improved effectiveness.
 Drives the sales process through one-on-one coaching, training, and employee      recognition.
•   Assumes responsibility for the effective management of, compliance to and monitoring of assigned controls, policies, and procedures by self and the department.
•   Assists with implementing changes to established policy and procedures within the branch.
Completes and communicates Performance Review and Individual Development Plans for each direct report by predetermined deadlines. Manages low performers and rewards top performers.
•    Ensures branch security. Assists with opening and closing the building in accordance with set hours. Tests security equipment as assigned.
•    Ensures delivery of high-quality Member service in all aspects of sales and operational activities.
•    Ensures that the branch balances all transactions at the close of each day. Oversees the branch audit processes. Reviews the results, implements corrective actions, and reports the findings to the Branch Manager.
•   Assists with Member Service Representative functions as needed.
•    Leads and manages branch operations, including Member service and teller areas to meet/exceed key measures.
•    Promotes branch business development and seeks to broaden Member base. Actively cross-sells Credit Union products and services
•   Assist Regional VP with driving the sales process through one-on-one coaching, training, and Employee recognition.
•    Completes required reports and records and ensures that branch functions are  properly documented.  Administers the branch monthly Internal Verification Procedures.
•   Assists the Regional VP with analyzing branch financial results and supports plans and strategies to improve branch profitability and better market expansion.
•   Assists Regional VP in planning, directing organizing and controlling the operational activities and staff of assigned branch.
•    Assists Regional VP with managing the department budget and development of Operating Expense (OPEX) controls.

Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective coordination and working relations with branch personnel, ensuring optimal performance.
•       Provides assistance, direction, and supervision as needed, including guidance for  Tellers, MCs and Member Service Representatives.
•   Conducts regular department meetings and one-on-ones with direct reports.
•    Ensures that personnel are well trained in all phases of their respective jobs. Performs cross training as necessary.
•   Assists with determining appropriate staffing levels and scheduling employees and with approving all sick leave, vacation, overtime, and payroll records for each branch employee.

•    Ensures that Members\' requests and questions are promptly and courteously resolved. Answers Members’ questions or refers appropriately.
•    Ensures the Members are informed of Credit Union services, products, and     policies.

•   Co-develops branch strategies with Regional VP.
•   Assists with personnel functions as assigned.
•    Represents the assigned branch and Credit Union in all activities within the general market area and supports business development initiatives.

The hiring range for this position in California is $70,028 to $93,940 per year based on a 40-hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
