The Duties And Task Will Include

KOTUG Maritime Services Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Boat Repairer to join the team in Port Hedland. The Boat Repairer is responsible for the maintenance of the Vessels and other company or client assets as required.

• Inspection, fault finding and repair of equipment on-board.

• Launching testing

• Assist with the changing fender tyres on Tug Vessels.

• Metal fabrication to assist with vessel maintenance as required.

• Welding/ oxy-acetylene cutting and operating electric bench tools.

• Light vehicle operation as required including maintenance.

• Monthly inspections.

• Attends and actively participates in safety and maintenance meetings and any other meetings as required.

• Complies with regulatory and site-specific training requirements including the training of other personnel or contractors as required.

• Completes required risk assessments, safe work procedures, including but not limited to pre-starts, take 5’s and JHA’s.

• Ensure that all accidents, incidents, near misses and non-conformities are reported to the Maintenance Supervisor in accordance with procedures and that appropriate corrective and preventive action is taken and assists with incident reporting and investigation as required.

• Assists with any other requests as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor Successful Candidates Will Demonstrate The Following• Qualification in Heavy Diesel or Mechanical Fitting or equivalent.• High Risk Work Licence Intermediate rigger• High Risk Work Licence Forklift• Experience in the Marine industry and understanding of vessel operations.• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.• Demonstrated understanding of marine safety legislation as well as environmental requirements.• Able to use Microsoft word, Excel and Outlook.
