We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our team as Asset Management Senior Business Analyst

Role Purpose

The Decision Support Tool (DST) suite is a group of applications which provide competitive differentiation for the Global Asset Management (AMG) business, as compared to Order Management Systems (OMS) and Execution Management Systems (EMS) which are industry standard and more utilitarian in nature. DST applications are generally developed either by the business directly, or by IT with a very high level of business input, due to their esoteric nature. 

The roles purpose is to contribute to the detailed functional analysis (data, systems and interfaces) of DST suite and their integration related to changes enacted. The role focuses on the Visualiser platform; a collective term used for internally developed tools for equity analytics. It also covers TRAC, the passive equity portfolio management systems and Strategizer, the multi asset research platform.

Key responsibilities:

• For this, the role holder will require high level knowledge of full-stack software development, have experience working with database structures and be able to clearly capture and communicate business requirements and user’s desires. 
• The role holder is expected to know all standard software development practices (code versioning, documentation, Agile methodology, IT process flows in a corporate environment and user training). 
• The role holder is also expected to have experience and understanding of system application from a user’s perspective. 
• The role requires being comfortable working in a collegiate and open environment, but one that also actively encourages debate and disagreement. 
• The role holder must be willing and able to defend their solution and design views but at the same time negotiate with the IT side of the business in getting their solution implemented. 
• They must be passionate about software development and share the team vision.

Requirements

Experience in professional capacity related to software development with extensive experience in capturing requirement and good understanding of solid development principals.

Experience with the design of fully integrated back end to front end platforms essential together with strong analytical and problem solving skills. Familiarity with data visualization desirable. 

Positive and proactive attitude with flexibility to accommodate changing environment and willingness to take on new responsibilities. 
Excellent communication skills with the ability to converse at all levels.
