The ideal candidate will…
- Foster EH&S (Environmental Health and Safety) engagement, particularly in the field and in the areas of personal safety, process safety, and compliance.
- Have and maintain a clear focus on creating a highly reliable organizational culture and the elimination of unplanned events by implementing reliability and maintenance services and solutions.
- Thoughtfully engage in and complete the requirements of the Performance Management Process for direct reports which is leveraged to support meaningful opportunities for leader/employee engagement. This includes coaching and career development.
- Act as a back-up to the Maintenance Department Head (Superintendent).
- Implement and provide on-going support of the maintenance procedure use policy at the facility.
- Ensure all maintenance procedures will include a hazard assessment indicating safety, health and environmental considerations and control measures to prevent contact or exposure.

Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering
Other Requirements: A minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering, maintenance, or related
Preferred Experience:
- 5+ years of direct supervisory experience in a chemical/petrochemical manufacturing environment, ideally supporting frontline teams within a maintenance function
- Experience improving safety culture and results across an area/team
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including experience leading individuals and teams indirectly
- Situational expertise with administering coaching in all directions
- Depth of knowledge in maintenance and manufacturing work processes
- Experience facilitating and resolving complex human resources issues
- Familiarity with change management concepts
