Actuarial Risk Senior Manager-Salary between £80,000 and £95,000

Are you someone who is a Qualified actuary with GI reserving experience? Do you have experience Leading Risk review and challenge of the relevant aspects of actuarial risk ?

A bit about the job:

You will be responsible for reviewing, challenging and catalysing improvements to the management and optimisation of actuarial risk, with specific focus to reserving risk and oversight of the management of Internal Model used for SII capital assessment. This includes providing the CRO with Risk’s objective view of actuarial reserving risks alongside oversight of the Chief Actuary’s delegated management of Internal Model.  You will work closely with the AIL Chief Actuary and his team, as well as other key stakeholders across Claims, Personal Lines and Commercial Lines pricing/underwriting.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• You will have extensive, up-to-date experience and knowledge of all relevant components of actuarial/insurance risk across AIL (including reserving, underwriting, pricing, capital modelling, product/propositions, reinsurance, standard methodology and emerging developments)

• Good working knowledge of relevant related enterprise, conduct and operational risk management in financial services.

• You will have a solid experience and knowledge of the general insurance industry

• You will be able to demonstrate that your key attributes include leadership, effective communication, strategic awareness, organisation and planning, integrity and diplomacy, high ethical standards, innovation and challenge, and analysis

What you’ll get for this role:

• Starting salary between £80,00 and £95,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
