We require a full time Equine Veterinary Nurse to join our forward thinking and motivated team.
You will be joining a progressive practice with fully equipped hospital facilities. We aim to provide a varied working day with daily ward rounds and regular case sharing. The role will include ambulatory and clinic-based nursing and you will be part of an out of hours rota. This includes some night and weekend duties and is currently a 1:5 out of hours and weekend rota.
Your responsibilities will include General nursing to include medical
care, inpatient and outpatient care, assisting the vets in and out of the clinic, setting up of the X-ray, ultrasound, gastroscopies and all other equipment needed by Vets, to run blood samples in house, set up and break down of theatre pre and post-surgery, nursing duties in theatre during surgery and to always ensure excellent clinical and general horse care!
The role will be 37.5 hours a week, the salary is competitive and dependent on experience.

Cliffe Equine Vets is an established RCVS Accredited Equine Hospital based just outside Lewes in the East Sussex countryside.
The practice is set in the beautiful Sussex countryside at the base of the South Downs, just a few miles from the vibrant market town of Lewes and a short drive from Brighton. Direct trains to Gatwick Airport and London Victoria.
We are a 9 Vet practice with full surgical facilities including a hospital facility (17 boxes). We have a team of qualified and trainee Equine Nurses. Equality, diversity, and inclusion is at the heart of our culture.

Applicant Requirements
Ideally candidates should be RVN or EVN qualified or training towards either. Nurses are supported to reach their full potential and encouraged to further develop. A minimum 1 year in animal nursing.
A strong work ethic and a desire to provide a high-quality service to our clients is vital, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
