We are excited to invite applications for the position of Full Stack Developer within our Connected Health Engineering team. Operating within the world's leading Oral Care Company, Connected Health is a growing team of people inspired by the possibility of leveraging new technology to make everyday life healthier. We launched our first product with Apple stores in 2018 and have been growing our portfolio ever since. In addition to the first manual connected toothbrush - Colgate M1 - our portfolio also includes CES award winners Colgate Magik and Plaqless Pro and the latest offerings which are generating lots of buzz - hum by Colgate and hum Kids. We have a number of exciting projects in the works and are now looking for a Full Stack Developer to join our team to help realize our vision. This role will involve planning, design, development and maintenance of our frontend and backend. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated and can work well both independently and within a team. They are a self-starter - eager to learn new technologies and consider security implications in their designs of our constantly evolving connected health portfolio of products and services.

 

What you will do

 

  • Create consumer grade web based applications, eCommerce websites and advanced analytics components within the Colgate Connect Platform
  • Develop web services to support our Colgate Connect mobile applications
  • Identify opportunities to leverage new technologies to enhance the Colgate Connect Platform
  • Work closely with internal team and key external partners to ensure new developments align with roadmap and integrate seamlessly with other platform components
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure all requirements are met
  • Support ongoing development for existing projects/applications
  • Improve test coverage of existing code bases
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

 

Required Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematic, Engineering or equivalent experience 
  • At least 3+ years experience developing and deploying end to end applications 
  • Experience with Python programming (FastAPI experience is a plus) 
  • Strong experience with test driven development methodologies (pytest and Python frameworks a plus) 
  • Understanding of linting best practices as applied in production code bases 
  • Database development experience using relational databases such as SQL, PostgreSQL, or MySQL 
  • Experience with relational database technologies and data modeling 
  • Familiarity with REST API and web service development 
  • Experience developing front end web applications (HTML5, CSS< Modern Javascript Frameworks like Angular, React and VueJS) 
  • Developing applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) 
  • Familiarity with GitHub Actions or other cloud CI Platforms 
  • Understanding of Kubernetes and containerized applications 
  • Experience working on Agile/SCRUM development teams 
  • Leveraging User Centric Design and applying User Experience concepts 
  • Familiarity with data privacy concepts (GDPR, PCI, HIPAA)
