What you’ll do
As a front end engineer in Amazon, you are expected to solve difficult front-end engineering problems, applying appropriate technologies, UX patterns and best practices to ensure you and your team can deliver at speed. You work with your team to invent, design, and build software that is stable, performant, secure, and accessible in order to address the customers needs.
A successful candidate will have a strong front end development background and be able to deliver innovative solutions which solve problems for a wide range of business users. Daily work will involve working with a development team on multiple product features, helping other engineers get to grips with front end engineering and looking to improve the front end space across the department.
· A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
· Significant experience as a front-end developer or web technologist role
· Strong knowledge of web technologies including: HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript, XML, JSON, React/Angular, web and server programming
· Passion to design and develop intuitive user interfaces
· Ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast paced environment
· Strong customer focus with ability to translate user requirements into good design
· Sound business judgment, proven ability to influence others and strong analytical thinking skills
· Entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to have fun!
· Masters in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
· Experience mentoring junior software engineers to improve their skills and make them more effective, product software engineer
