Our Birds Eye Foods facility in Darien, Wisconsin is looking for you to join our team as a Freezer Forklift Driver. The forklifts are enclosed and have heaters. You will also be provided with the necessary freezer gear. The opportunities for growth and development are endless as part of Conagra Brands!

To perform this job successfully:

• You must be able to efficiently operate mobile and stationary computer equipment as required to maintain inventory records.
• You must be a trained and BEF certified lift truck operator. You must also be able to safely and efficiently operate all material handling equipment including lift truck, powered and manual pallet jack, pull pack attachment, clamp attachment and powered sweeper.
• You will become knowledgeable of all battery room equipment and procedures.
• You will be taught to understand and know how to operate trailer refrigeration units.
• You should be knowledgeable and accurate in basic mathematics.
• You will need to be able to read, write and speak basic English.
• You must be willing to become knowledgeable of all safety rules and procedures and be willing to follow them.

What you will be doing:

• You will be responsible for the movement of product associated with the operation of the distribution center, both in and out of the freezer environment, in accordance with BEF guidelines.
• You will maintain records as required on computer system and/or manually.
• You will loads/Unloads trucks, containers and rail cars.
• You will sort and handle empty pallets as required.
• You will transport pallets, fiber, and other supplies and materials as required.
• You will perform operational maintenance of vehicles including filling out of daily checklist.
• You will be expected to follow proper safety and operational procedures in the handling of all products and the operation of all equipment.
• You will change battery in material handling equipment as necessary and follow proper battery room procedures.
• You may be asked to attend and participate in training classes.
• You will assist in all housekeeping functions in order to maintain a clean and safe work area.
