The AGCO Global Forecasting and Planning team has an exciting opportunity for a high-impact Forecasting & Planning Specialist to join its team in delivering extraordinary results to our farmers. The Global Forecasting and Planning team is responsible for inventory management and anticipating the needs of the customer. This is a role with growth potential and developmental opportunities. In this position, you will drive the highest level of service and quality to our dealership network.

 

This candidate will ultimately be responsible for organizing, analyzing, and making decisions in the inventory planning process for the global AGCO’s parts distribution network.  Specifically, the Forecasting & Planning Specialist will work to deliver improved (parts service) fill rate levels across a portfolio of brands / products that AGCO dealers sell and promote. This role will require balancing targeted fill rates with inventory objectives, and is designated for an individual that is analytically proficient and capable of making inferences from various sources of data. 

  

What you will do:

 

  • Collaborate with Sales, Procurement, Purchasing, Customer Service, Logistics to optimize operating costs, inventory value, and customer service levels
  • Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Production facilities, New Product Launch Specialist, and Purchasing and Procurement to ensure new product availability in time to support launch date
  • Identify and incorporate product knowledge, dealer profiles, seasonality and regional / local conditions to enhance inventory planning capabilities
  • Steer continuous improvement in Forecast & Planning to improve parts availability and service
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual results / accomplishments
  • Manage and manipulate data in Excel, SQL, SAS, and Access

 

What you will bring:

 

  • BS/BA degree in Math, Statistics, Business, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years working in an inventory management capacity or data analytics role
  • 2+ years working with Microsoft Excel

 

A plus if you have:

 

  • Ability to work independently and drive inventory performance results through systems and processes across assigned product lines
  • Strong data analysis capabilities
  • Experience with SQL, SAS, and Access
  • APICS Certification is a plus
  • Previous experience leading / participating in continuous improvement projects
