Become our new Footwear Product Testing Manager!

This role ensures that Nike Footwear fits and performs up to the highest standards. This person will drive and implement all aspects of footwear testing; including planning tests, recruiting and establishing relationships with target athletes*, carrying out all level of tests, thoughtfully analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data while gathering product and athlete feedback, producing excellent written reports and delivering presentations to the product creation team. This role will also help mentor teammates and nurture an environment in which differences are openly shared, accepted and incorporated into the team culture.

The candidate needs to have strong product creation competence, confirmed influencing skills, formal mentoring experience, outstanding communication and organizational skills as well as demonstrated initiative in identifying areas of opportunities and implementing solutions in conjunction with a leadership team.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON?

In this role, you will lead the overarching testing strategy in the UK for our Global Football Footwear team. You’ll use your understanding of the footwear manufacturing process combined with your solid understanding of the athlete* to sensibly derive insights from data to advise and encourage the product creation team. You will provide mentorship to less experienced analysts as well as lead others to deliver results on testing projects. You will also partner with WHQ Global Football FPT Manager to build and implement Best Practices as related to the UK testing program for Global Football and drive alignment across other dimensions and divisions.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will work directly with the extended Global Football Footwear teams including: Development, Design, Engineering, Product Marketing, Sports Marketing, Material Development, in pursuit of product excellence. You will be collaborating with your Footwear Product Testing teammates on prioritized projects to test new innovative footwear. You will also be working with Athletes* to gain a better understanding of their needs in order to collect their feedback of the tested models.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Extensive experience in the footwear and product testing
• Background in development, marketing, engineering, retail, customer service industry is solid plus.
• Understanding of footwear components, materials, and inline productions processes is a definite plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working with athletes, coaches, and equipment managers.
• Experience with Microsoft Office programs and familiarity with spreadsheet database and statistical analysis procedures.
• Ability to travel up to 20% per year, domestically and internationally.
