Job Purpose and Impact

The Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory Technician (part time-12-month term-2nd shift) will provide quality assurance and food safety technical support through testing and auditing process documentation and data collection and analysis. Key Accountabilities

• Conduct inspections of finished products or raw materials to identify trends in defects or errors and support more complex trials and experiments under intermediate supervision.
• Provide training, coaching and mentoring to new team members.
• Conduct documentation review of hazard analysis, food safety and quality documents.
• Assists in audits and shelf life projects through testing, preparing reports and final summaries.
• Manage customer complaints and ensure appropriate actions and preventative measures are in place to prevent reoccurrence.
• Handle moderately complex clerical, administrative, technical or customer support issues under general supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma, secondary education level or equivalent
• Minimum of two years of related work experience
• Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of meat cuts
• Microsoft Office experience
• Post-secondary college or university degree/diploma in Science or Food Science
• Experience in Food Safety and Quaility Assurance
