Be part of the Oilfield & Industrial Chemicals Technology Group focused on support for our scale, paraffin, asphaltene and hydrate business that fall under the Flow Assurance umbrella. The purpose of this role is to help support our business by being a key player in driving our Paraffin & Asphaltenes research & development efforts. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of developing product chemistries and delivering successful applications into this space.

As a Flow Assurance Subject Matter Expert you will be responsible for:
 

• Working in project teams that may involve both internal and external parties
• Planning & conducting R&D work on complex projects necessitating the origination and application of new and unique approaches.
• Problem solving in a lab and/or field environment in subject area
• Collaborating with other business functions throughout the product development cycle to ensure successful project delivery
• Acting as a key technical interface with customer technical groups and attend conferences, consortia and joint developments in Paraffin & Asphaltene arena
• Supporting the Sales and Operations teams to deliver optimised technical solutions

To be successful in this role you will:
 

• Have a Bachelor\'s degree in a scientific discipline, ideally chemistry
• Have 5 years of experience in oilfield industry
• Have the ability to develop new test methods for chemistry evaluation
• Have a solid understanding and hands-on experience in the Paraffin & Asphaltenes area
• Be able to show excellent problem-solving, process improvement and analytical skills
• Have excellent written and verbal English skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment in and out of a laboratory setting
• Be able to travel to visit customers or Baker Hughes locations
