Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Flightline Operations Manager to join our KC-46 team in Tukwila, WA.
Position Responsibilities:
Ensures that air vehicles are completed and pass certification for airworthiness by overseeing final component installation, systems operation functional testing, modification, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, preflight and postflight checks, release for flight, and preparation for delivery.
Interfaces with flight crews, engineering, management, suppliers, and customers to meet product requirements and ensure customer acceptance.
Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
Manages, develops and motivates employees.
This position is for a rotational shift.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required. Active Secret Clearance preferred.)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Experience with the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Project.
Experience working in a highly regulated manufacturing environment where compliance with policies and procedures is essential.
Experience with flight line operations.
Willingness to work a rotating shift.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher.
Experience as a team lead, project lead or manufacturing supervisor.
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 7 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+5 years' related work, Bachelor+2 years' related work, etc.)
Relocation:
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility (Basic relocation is available for internal candidates, based on candidate eligibility.)
Travel:
Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.
