Cox Automotive is looking for a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager with experience working in a successful team environment supporting forecasting, pipeline and sales performance management. A key responsibility of this Manager is to partner with our Retail sales teams to drive insights through analytics with the interpretation of financial results, variance analysis and key business drivers. Candidates must have excellent attention to detail with an aptitude to support an everchanging business. This position reports to the Director of Finance for Sales Support.
PRIMARY DUTIES/KEY RESPONSIBILITES
Contribute thought leadership by analyzing sales metrics and assess impacts to business performance, strategic direction and long-range sales plans.
Become a trusted partner that Sales teams can depend on for insights and business behavior.
Complete comprehensive weekly forecasting, looking for ways to improve accuracy, timeliness and processes.
Manage Sales Performance reporting, to provide leadership with team member insights.
Continuously improve current financial reporting, modeling, and metrics to evolve with the business and product set and better links financial forecasts to internal and external drivers.
Partner with Retail sales teams to provide proactive insights to financial recommendations on business changes.
Lead and guide junior level analysts.
Create and maintain an environment of personal accountability that encourages ownership of issues and excellence in service.
Complete special projects and ad hoc requests accurately and with quick turnaround times.
Provide insights on trends and issues impacting Sales performance. Identify long term implications and risks to the business.
Qualifications:
Requires BS/BA degree in related discipline with advance degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.
7+ years of experience working within a like analytical financial environment to include financial strategy, project management, process improvement, business performance management and/or corporate strategy.
Build, sustain, and leverage relationships with business partners.
Extensive experience with the MS Office Suite, specifically with Excel in the automation of reporting to include managing large/imperfect data sets.
Salesforce experience strongly preferred.
Excellent organizational skills and an ability to work on a team.
Ability to exercise independent judgment for interpreting financial data.
Motivated, self-starter with strong interpersonal skills.
Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail is a must.
Demonstrated ability to multitask successfully.
