Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

This position will be responsible for the financial tracking and measure of Performance Guarantees in addition to improving existing processes.  In addition, this position will assist in client set ups, data gathering, and reconciliation reporting as needed. This includes gathering results and preparing reporting to present to Account Management for distribution to clients.  The position requires regular communication with cross functional areas in order to meet deadlines, including Operational areas, Account Teams, IT, Audit, etc.  The ability to communicate requests, results and issues effectively with team members, management and cross functional areas is essential.  The successful candidate will also be expected to proactively contribute to driving and developing best practices across the Financial Client Operations team. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Collaborate with key business stakeholders for the accounting, forecasting, management, reporting, and optimization of performance guarantees.

  • Create and Prepare the monthly Performance Guarantee accrual.

  • Works independently, through established procedures, to ensure appropriate assessment of Performance Guarantees.

  • Recommends resolution of identified issues during assessment as well as efficient process improvements.

  • Work cross-functionally with business partners to research and complete analysis of Performance guarantees.

  • Internal and External Audit assistance.

  • Assist with client Performance Guarantee set up, reporting, penalty payments as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.

  • 5+ years of financial analysis, financial operations or relevant experience.

  • Related work experience in PBM, Pharmaceutical, or Healthcare industry preferred.

  • Proficient in MS Excel and SQL.

  • Understanding of and experience with quality and process improvement concepts, methodologies.

  • Strong analytical, planning, problem identification and resolution skills required.

  • Effective communication with internal and external individuals in various functional areas and at all levels of management.

  • Knowledge of ESI’s products and services preferred.

  • Experience working with cross functional departments to research and resolve issues.

  • Requires experience in business analysis and production testing.

  • Demonstrated self-initiative with commitment and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

This role is Flex/WFH which allows most work to be performed at home or on occasion at a Cigna office location. Employees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $72,100 - $120,100, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
